POWAY, Calif., September 10, 2012 - Cohu, Inc. (NASDAQ:COHU) today announced new video surveillance solutions from its Cohu Electronics Division.
The 7500HD Series is the latest addition to Cohu's expanding family of HDTV products, offering excellent image quality, event management processing and network stability.
The 7500HD Series is available in three configurations:
- 7510HD - Fixed Network Box Camera, Indoor IP50-rated
- 7520HD - Fixed Network Dome Camera, Indoor/Outdoor IP66-rated
- 7530HD - Fixed Network Camera, Outdoor IP66-rated
The 7500HD Series is ideal for requirements encountered in security, traffic and remote monitoring applications. Using a powerful encoding engine, the 7500HD Series is capable of streaming multiple, individually configured H.264 and MJPEG streams.
Features include full HD video resolution of 1080p30, H.264 and MJPEG video compression codecs, on-board SDHC recording, configurable image settings, and event management processing. Event triggers include external sensor inputs, video motion detection, user commands and periodic timers. Event actions include activating alarm outputs, storage of video recordings, sending snapshots and video clips to an FTP site, as well as emailing event notifications.
Designed with the installer in mind, an analog video output, along with remote back focus, makes installation easy. Using the One-Touch-Focus feature for sharp images reduces installation time and allows fine focus adjustments from a remote computer, eliminating the need for manual focus adjustments at the camera. Network and security features include static or dynamic IP addressing, domain name, bandwidth limit setting, authentication rules, network time server support and power-over-ethernet operation.
The 7500HD Series provides a full function web server interface, allowing complete administrative and operator control capabilities. Administrative features include configuring network settings, user password assignments, setting video streaming properties, event management programming and assigning camera ID labels. Access to the camera is fully protected by username/password authentication.
For outdoor use, the 7520HD and 7530HD feature a corrosion-proof aluminum body and IP66 protection, which allows for installation just about anywhere. A high-quality, ultra-strong polycarbonate bubble makes the 7520HD dome vandal-resistant while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing look in any scenario.
The 7500HD Series provides integration with 3rd party Video Management Systems (VMS), adhering to industry interoperability standards for video streaming specifications and ONVIF and PSIA configuration and control interfaces. The 7500HD Series is also video-analytics-ready, capable of hosting advanced security and traffic based video analytics for additional functionality.

The Cohu 7510HD, 7520HD and 7530HD, with suggested retail prices of $992, $934 and $1707, respectively, are backed by a three year limited warranty. The 7500HD Series is expected to be available for order by September 20, 2012.
